Newest Addition to my Etsy Shop - Modern Family Heirloom Collection

I made this blanket for a friend at work who has waited years to have a baby and is now expecting. I am so very happy for her.

I am starting a "Modern Family Heirloom" Collection in my Etsy store. This will feature gorgeous blankets in bright vibrant colors and great designs. This is the first in the collection. You can see it in my Etsy store HERE.

I just finished another blanket for my sister in law but I need to take pictures when there is some natural light to show off the bright teal and pink colors.
I'm also working on adding some new hats to my store.
I must go put the little monster to bed now. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Quickie Post

I am going to post my two newest layouts quickly as my house is a disaster and I need to start cleaning and tackling the laundry. I'm still participating in the Willow Trader's use a kit challenge! I have 8 layouts done so far. These two layouts are using a page kit from The ScrapRoom.

Tonight I plan on looking for some great sketch sites to help me use up these kits. Have any suggestions? Leave them in the comments!
This has been a long weekend for me - no work today! I'm hoping to get some scrapping done. I also had an order from etsy shop and a baby blanket I've been working on for a friend - when they are finished I will post pictures. Hope you all had a great weekend :)

New Year, New Me, New Blog, New Scrappy Pages

I'm starting over. I love the aspect of a new year, a clean slate, a new beginning. So I started a new blog. I'm hoping to get myself organized in life, in finances, in faith and in the hobbies that I love. I told myself that I need to spend less and save more. I need to go back to church. I need to lose some of that stubborn baby weight. I need to spend more time with my family and concentrate on them. So I'm using my new blog to document it all.
One of my resolutions is to use all those fabulous scrapbook kits that I've been hoarding. A great way to accomplish that is participating in the Willow Traders Use a Kit challenge going on right now. So far I've done 6 layouts!! Here are 3 of them.
This page uses the Scrapbook Kit Club's December Kit of the Month which featured the yummy Making Memories Mistletoe Line - which I LOVE! The kit included 2 sheets of white felt which when I got the kit I had no idea what I was going to use them for. I cut a strip off the top of one sheet and started to weave thread in and out of the top edge with a needle and pulled it tight. It automatically started to create that flower shape so I went with it and love the outcome!

This page is using the Zany Zinnia's All Hallows Eve kit. This is an old picture from 2001 that I'm finally scrapping. I distressed the edges and did some machine sewing on here. I love that look.

This page is using odds and ends of halloween kits that I have had stashed away. Again another older picture from 2001.

I hope to post the rest of my layouts tomorrow along with some of the fun hats I have been making lately!

XOXO
